AWS Activate is a global program, and Mexican startups are fully eligible. Through ROSTAN Technologies — an AWS Activate Provider — qualifying Mexican startups can access the Portfolio tier of AWS Activate, worth up to $200,000 in credits, rather than the smaller self-apply Founders tier. We prepare and submit the application, help you set up your AWS account, and review your initial architecture so the credits go further.
Support is delivered remotely by our AWS team in India, working to Mexican business hours. You get hands-on help without local consulting rates — and since the AWS Mexico (Central) Region opened in Querétaro in January 2025, you can now keep workloads and data onshore in Mexico.
The AWS Mexico (Central) Region (mx-central-1) opened in Querétaro on 14 January 2025 with three Availability Zones. Mexican startups can now run workloads and store data in-country with low latency, as part of AWS's $5 billion, 15-year investment in Mexico.
The new Querétaro Region lets you keep customer data onshore to support obligations under Mexico's Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data (LFPDPPP).
