Oracle Gold Partner Low-Code on the Oracle Database

Oracle APEX Development
Enterprise apps, no per-seat licence

If you already own an Oracle Database, you already own APEX. Oracle states plainly: “Unlike other low-code vendors, Oracle does not charge you by the number of app users, developers, apps, or workloads.” That single fact changes the economics of every internal application you were about to buy.

In short

Oracle APEX is a low-code platform that builds web applications directly on the Oracle Database. Oracle describes it as “a no-cost feature of the Oracle Database” that “can be easily deployed with all supported editions of the Oracle Database, including Database Free.” Because there are no per-user, per-developer or per-app fees, APEX inverts the usual low-code cost curve: the more people use the application, the cheaper it looks next to a seat-priced competitor. It is best suited to data-centric internal applications on Oracle data you already hold — approvals, portals, operational dashboards, and the replacement of the spreadsheet that has quietly become business-critical.

What Oracle Actually Says

The APEX licensing position

This is the part competitors quietly leave out of a comparison. Oracle's own words, linked.

“Unlike other low-code vendors, Oracle does not charge you by the number of app users, developers, apps, or workloads.”

Where APEX is not the right answer. APEX is strongest when the data already lives in an Oracle Database and the application is data-centric. If you need a consumer-facing mobile app, a heavily bespoke front-end, or your data sits mostly outside Oracle, a different stack will serve you better — and we will tell you that rather than sell you an APEX project.

Our APEX Practice

What we build with APEX

Custom Business Applications

Approval workflows, operational portals, asset and inventory trackers — the internal systems that are currently a spreadsheet plus an email chain.

Oracle Forms Migration

Move legacy Oracle Forms and Reports applications to APEX without rewriting the business logic that already works.

Operational Dashboards

Live reporting straight off the transactional data — no overnight extract, no separate BI licence.

EBS & Fusion Extensions

APEX is an excellent way to extend Oracle ERP without customising the core, so your extensions survive the next patch or quarterly update.

APEX on Autonomous Database

Run APEX on Oracle Autonomous Database in OCI, with patching and backups handled by Oracle rather than by you.

Security & Hardening

Authentication schemes, authorisation, session state protection and audit — reviewed before you put it in front of users, not after.
